Ena joined the Knowledge Platform as a student assistant in 2022. Ena is originally from Zagreb, Croatia where she completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She moved to Groningen to complete the Behavioural and Social Sciences Research master at the University of Groningen, specializing in Environmental psychology. After graduation, in October 2023 she started working as a researcher at the Platform. As of February 2024, she is working as a PhD candidate.
Ena has a drive for learning and understanding the world through conducting (interdisciplinary) research, and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world settings. Her work focuses on the social impacts of the gas extraction, the interplay between different power structures and how these may translate to (new) energy projects. She believes that the lessons learned from the Groningen gas extraction should be shared with the international scientific community to prevent similar issues repeating elsewhere in future energy projects.
